Been out of town all week, so haven't had a chance to DL the newsgroups. How has the CD done? Was the initial response pretty decent. Just curious mainly. I know I ordered it, but haven't heard much about it since the release.

I got mine in four days! Fast!
I'm curious too, have initial sales met expectations?

The interface for browsing and installation is great. The CD 'autoruns' and is much like browsing this site on the worlds fastest connection! You 'surf' the sections and install by 'downloading' from the CD. Super easy and the whole thing is hyperlinked much like you'd expect. Very slick.
The exclusive to the CD, Marinara suite is really nice to use. Kudos to the authors.

The CD is making me a bit melodramatic. Browsing
and remembering the skins of great authors like
morphh, D.A.K, zts, Enity-X and more and thinking
how long havent we seen an skin by these guys.
The CD is really great and the two themes of treetog and Alexandrie are worth the money. I can
only assure you to buy it. Delivering is really
fast, even to germany only a few days.

I've just got in from work and saw the package on my desk, anxiously ripped it open and am using Marinara already.
So - delivery to the UK in a week. Not bad is it?

manni - the word you meant is melancholy, meaning: causing or tending to cause sadness or depression of mind or spirit.
Melodramatic means: characterized by extravagant theatricality or overacting. IE: "Oh my God! I have a hangnail!. I'm going to die!

Hey, piss off, Russ....that's my job....
Besides...he could have meant 'misanthropic'.
[means: disliking other people and avoiding involvement with society]...hehe...

Hi gang! Writing this from New York at PC Expo! When the end of the month gets a bit closer, we'll do a statistical analysis and put up the results.
Overall, the CD has done pretty decently. Not quite enough to pay for the new bandwidth but I think once we add in shirts and hats and mugs we should be able to pick up the difference.
If the CDs and other goodies can sell a total of 300 units per month that would do the trick. I think roughly speaking we're on track to do about 1/4th of that per month per month with the CDs. Add in hats though and shirts and mugs and eventually special skin suite CDs that can optionally be downloaded and other goodies and we can make that target I think.
It still blows away what banner ads would do. Thanks to everyone who's already purchased it!
BTW, once we have more things available and we have things that can be downloaded (For those who find having things shipped to be an obstacle), what would you guys think about having a little gold star or medal or something show up in the user's profile if they've bought one of these things where it oculd say something like "Community Supporter!" or something. Just as an extra way WinCustomize could say thanks to those people who are helping pay the bandwidth bills?

Brad...I'm sure some of the more casual WinCusto visitors might enjoy the added recognition.....but we seasoned veterans may not mind either way. I for one, am just happy to assist by contributing to the coffers...
